First of all big thanks for making me player of the month November(which is one damn good month btw),it is truely a huge privilege and an honor to me.
I'm afraid I'm not very interesting.I'm 18 years old and live in a nice little town in the north of Germany,having the North Sea to my left and the Baltic Sea to my right and the Kiel Canal floating through my neighbourhood.
I visit school for 11 years now and I'm (hopefully) going to graduate in 2009.I'm obviously into Computers and the Internet,but I also like playing football or tennis and since the conditions are perfect,I also go sailing every now and then.I'm also interested(passive) into Pro-Wrestling.
I bet most of you never saw me playing,that is simply because I was and am rarely hanging out on oversea servers. I first played Quake 3 online when I received ADSL in Winter 03/04.I often played on a nice Instagib+ FFA server called "Rail Fudge Packers", where I had a lot of fun and made many new friends. In a state of collective delirium,a few mates,such as Q-Chi and BruceLeech,and I founded DqP.We enjoyed combining two of the most greatest things in life,playing Quake and getting hammered. DqP has changed a lot,it's not the same anymore as it was two years ago but it's still a lot of fun and by far the greatest bunch of people I ever met online.
We fastly discovered FreezeTag and NoGhost and went to play it more and more often on the legendary [db]Freezeplus servers or on Strasny NoGhost.Renting our first own server got Bruce and me interested into the NoGhost mod.Of course we decided to run the server with NoGhost,since it was the most customizable and cheatsecure of all the mods. When the revolutionary new antibot was included(the one that requires 1.15c/1.11),I was amazed how many cheaters got catched and registered to the forum to gain more information.Ever since I was posting server related stuff there,there was always a bug or two or a missing feature calling for a report. I also started playing RA3 and CPMA CPM,these mods are also a lot of fun but its communities don't even come close to what NoGhost has to offer.
I think I have seen pretty much every Quake 3 mod there is to see or play,but as a server admin I must say that NoGhost is clearly the top of the mountain.It has so many features and options and is so highly customizable-we could have hundreds of servers with different gametypes.It's a bit of a pity that most of the servers are running similar configurations.Oh well,I guess I'm zoning out too much now. :)
After all,NoGhost/Quake 3 is one great hobby to have and I still enjoy every minute of playing,trash talking,writing and whatnot.I met so many players over the years and I want to greet them all! Special thanks and greetings go out to Queen,Q-Chi,BruceLeech,killer,Amy,skc,green,KoKi,MaoTun,Cracky,everyone else from DqP,the whole (KURWA)family,DjSanJohn,Milk,ra1n,moRtem,Turb,Magnum,Previon,w00ti..and so forth. :) And of course thanks to Maverick for all your help,and most importantly to "NoGhost" for what it is,a damn nice mod and community.
